Timely Bookkeeping commenced in 2001 by Rakia Stokell, an experienced and qualified Chartered Accountant. The implementation of GST in July of 2000 saw many small & medium businesses stumbling through a sea of paperwork. As an accountant who was knowledgeable about multiple computerised accounting systems, Rakia specialised in assisting clients to get ready for the implementation of the Goods and Services Tax.

 

After the initial implementation, business owners began to struggle with their paperwork and quarterly reporting requirements. Rakia quickly identified the need for high-quality professional bookkeeping and business services that both accountants and clients could rely on. Timely Bookkeeping was then born.

About the Director

Rakia Stokell has a wealth of experience from a public accounting background, where she specialised in small business taxes and accounting. Her experience spreads across a wide range of industries including, Manufacturing, Retail, Building & Construction, Medical Practices, Hairdressing & Beauty, plus a range of other service industries specifically for small and medium sized businesses. 

 

She is a practicing member of the Institute of Certified Bookeepers, a member of the Australian Bookkeepers Network, a registered BAS Agent with the Tax Practicitioners Boards, an MYOB Certified Consultant, and a Xero Certified Partner.
